DAENOR- THE LAND
Once a beautiful and heavily forested land, the area now known as Daenor was originally a Kaltoi nation known as Gaellia. Since the coming of the Daenorim, the great forest which surrounded the land has been largely destroyed, and the beautiful lush Valley of Vrann is now a desolate plain. Grim, and tainted by the shadow, Daenor is no longer the beautiful haven it once was- now it is a land of despair and darkness, capital of the Shadow-Mage's expanding empire.
PEOPLE AND CULTURES
Daenor is populated by a variety of other races. Amongst the urban cities or the Deanorim, many other mannish people are present, most of whom have forsaken their original lands to serve the Shadowmage; Ardanians, Rhutalathians, Cymurians, men from the far west, and the continents of Atlantea and Antillia. Many others have been brought as slaves, and refuse to actively join the forces of Daenor. A small tribe of Dark Elves, known as the Shaiyana, inhabit the Taur Liantier.
As well as the Mannish and Elven races, many other dark races exist. Trolls and Ogres often make up sizable units in the Shadowmage's armies. Black and Grey Orcs and Half-Orcs, straight from Vancumar, serve as leaders. Whilst not abundant enough to form their own societies, these black races are often found living in the towns of the Gaellians, or the Caverns of Orcs, or even serving the Shadowmage directly, in the pits of Carakum.
